NAUET against attempts to discredit Russian e-business.

The Electronic Commerce Committee (NAUET) is going to protest against the campaign launched by IFPI to discredit Russian e-business, said the Chairman of the Committee, Pavel Vrublevsky, at a recent press-conference. He described the recent PR campaign of IFPI as a tool used to reshape Russian music market and harm reputation of Russian business.

IFPI accuses of "piracy" a Russian music store AllOfMP3.com and a number of other sites. However, these businesses operate legally on the basis of licenses issued by societies for collective rights management in full compliance with the Copyright Law.

The sites targeted by the campaign and accused of "piracy" do make royalty payments for the music they are selling and are in no way "pirate". Despite this fact, IFPI has been ignoring Russian legislation and has been trying to put pressure on the owners of the successful Russian businesses for 2 years, including attempts to launch criminal proceedings.

The Committee considers such behavior a gross intervention of a foreign company into Russian market. Meanwhile, accusations by IFPI harm reputation and image of the whole Russian e-business community.

So US customers can no longer refill their balance? This is very annoying.

There must be another way to make a payment. How about paypal? It doesn't seem legal for a credit card company to decide a legal matter and make themselves judge, jury and excutioner.

The best way to deposit money on this site now is through a XORST e-card which I have used twice now with no problems at all plus you get an extra 10% !
Dont let the big companies like I-Tunes get there way and dictate how much you have to pay for your music.

Keep the fight allofmp3, i hope i can refill my account soon, im dying to give you business and cut the companies out that gouge the consumer. As far as i'm concerned if the artist gets paid, that who counts, obviously some people along the way have to get paid, but to gouge is ridiculous. There was a campain a couple years ago stating thsat cd's were priced too high so they dropped from 15$Canadian to 10$. Now they have slowly creeped back up to $15 again. Seems that gouging is still going on and the artist is getting very little. I would rather pay through here and know that I can buy lots of music and the artist still gets his cut.

Yes, It is very frustrating to try and refill balance only to be told that you cannot do it.There should be some way on the site where you can go to find out what you have to do to use this site. I have found ALLOFMP3 as the only one that I will use. But NEED HELP to find a way to do this.

Is Xrost working? i bought a voucher from them and thennext page said they were down for 48 hours doing maintenance. That was 4 days ago. looks like something is happening there as well. hope i get my $25 back. Any other sites like xrost available? (also, the have no contact email link, so starting to wonder if they're midnight flyby guys).

Also, love the site although their doesn't seem to be much communication from the owners about the payments situation and we're all having to live of the rumours on these blogs for our info.

my theory is that the us govt know they've got no legal recourse as this site adheres to its national laws so the yanks have maneuvered visa and mastercard into bat for them. like napster though, i dont think shutting one site down will stop things.

second, i love paying for the music here and knowing the artists are getting their royalties (although their music companies refuse to accept them in case it appears as though they are legitimizing this site) but i would be interested in knowing just what percent of royalties does get handed over by allofmp3, and how this copares to i-tunes etc. again, communication form the owners of the site would be helpful.

cheers but.

If you won't allow us to use our credit cards to fill up our accounts, then warn new members of this before they go through the whole process of registering. What a frickin waste of time.
