In English, it should be called "Music For The Masses". "Music For Masses" does not make sense.

I try to play a song I download and I always get the file is corrupt. I retried another song and reinstalled the player... Is it no longer working?

I tried on my home machine and it works fine. Still can not get to work on the work machine where I really want it. Any ideas?

The internet-connetion of MfM (Music for Masses) ist rather unstable. If I try to load a web page in my browser while playing songs on MfM, the track played begins to lag.

Music for Masses downloaded ok but won't boot up. I don't have any problem downloading the free tracks but because the player won't work I can't listen to them.

Is this likely to be fixed & what are the minium system requirements?

Hi, like this new gadget very much and have a few questions to the devs.

First is the skin, don't like it very much, going to improve it in further versions?

Second are the features of the player - are you going to add, for example, a shuffle function?

Third is the question of the purpose of the app, are you going to built in ads and make the player more comfortable for maxing your profits or is this ment to be only used for preview purpose? Or do you someday, if CC companys continue bitching you, be totally free for everybody but only offer DRM protectet media?

Why is there no mention anywhere of the fact that it imposes a limit on the number of tracks that can be downloaded in free mode?

There is a DOWNLOAD LIMIT for tracks for MUSIC FOR MASSES, wich is not stated anywhere!! Why dont you guys tell the customers??? And what is the exact limit, is it a blocked track amount or a time period? Some info would be nice, allofmp3 people!!!

To me this all looked more like a publicity stunt to get some attention !

Greate service - but did not know there was a download limit. I tested my tracks on a computer system that I wiped clean now I cannot download any more tracks. Had I known of the limit, I would have careful secured my downloads. Help us allofmp3. :)

I have to say, considering we are being allowed to download music FREE OF CHARGE there are a lot of ungrateful people out there! Jesus... if you don't want to take up the offer of generousity without being gracious, go to HMV!

And I have not encountered any download limit and have downloaded at least 12 albums so far, so not sure what you guys are doing wrong!

"Music for masses" in English means music for Catholic Church services. "Music for the Masses" is the correct term for music for "the people" (meaning people in general). Of course "Music for the Masses" is also the name of a (very good) Depeche Mode album (maybe that's why allofmp3 uses the alternative name?). Or maybe they want to be grammatically incorrect so that the phrase will be memorable?

Anyway, I guess I'll have to give this program a try, since allofmp3 won't take credit card payments now and xrost doesn't work. :(

It won't even start up for me. I can download a song no problem, but the player won't even open so I can listen to it. I guess I'll have to wait until this is out of beta.

The limit information is up on the site. They say the download limit depends on how much you spend. If you never spend a dime on this site, the limit is 100 songs. For every $1 you spend, you can download 10 more free songs. It's a good service. This way you can download an album and see if you like it.

Limit?! Is this new? I've been behaving responsibly, and not attempting to download the entire AllOFMP3 catalogue. If the limit is new, it looks like I should have tried to get as much as possible, before it was introduced. I was using "Music for Masses" as a better form of preview, and downloading the tracks I liked, at a decent quality. Looks like that's gone out of the window. I've dully un-installed "Music for Masses".

And, will people quit going on about the grammar. So, it's a mistake, but an understandable one. Russian doesn't have definite or indefinite articles - no "a" or "the". You can't really expect someone whose first language is Russian to appreciate that "the masses", when meaning "the common, average man or woman", is idiomatic, and that you can't remove the "the" and retain its meaning.

Please fix it, that is compatible with Windows VISTA!

Unfortunately MfM seems not to be working with the proxy servers here on work. Is there any workaround (e.g. command line parameters) or will there be a fix in future releases?

It's working fine for me. Two things about the player; need to add "Add All Tracks" and also need to be able to select a separate download folder from allofmp3 explorer. Random play would be nice.

This service will be increasing my purchases as I will happily try more new artists. But for me it is not a substitute for the high-quality downloads I have been purchasing for 3 years. Still miss the PayPal service though.

Apparently, I cannot use MusicForMasses due to a proxy connection. Seems impossible to set the any proxy parameters. Will be possible in the next (not Beta) version?

Про название сервиса англоязычные товарищи правы. Если вы сами еще не поняли, что язык у вас на уровне советской английской спецшколы (как в известном монологе сатирика), то вам это сообщаю. Подобные корявости встречаются во всех текстах на сайте. Понимать не мешает, но что их писал русский — видно сразу.

P.S. Впрочем, если исправлять не хотите — то можете рассматривать английский с характерными ошибками как элемент вашего фирменного стиля. Они в США так говорят, опуская предлоги, именно когда хотят симитировать русскую речь (в шутках In Soviet Russia... и т.п.).

How do I get songs onto my mp3 player?
we seem to have run out of options to buy songs which can then transfer to mp3 player eg.lack of credit card support and now no xrost option?

This will take several steps but once you're done you WILL be able to pay for and download music from AlloFMP3 with any credit card! :-)

1- go to: http://www.xrost.biz/

2- log in or crete a new account

3- click on the PURCHASE tab

4- click on: Visit Click&Buy official site

5- log in or create a new Click&Buy account connected to your credit card

6- return to the XROST PURCHASE page

7- click on: Pay with Click&Buy

8- click on FUND to select the amount you want to transfer from your credit card

9- click on Accept under the Click&Buy logo

10- go back to the XROST main page and click on the ORDERS tab

11- this will show you your XROST PIN CODE and CLAIM ID

12- in a new browser window go back to the AlloFMP3 site

13- log into your AlloFMP3 account

14- click on BALANCE

15- click on REFILLE BALANCE

16- click on ACTIVATE XROST CARD

17- copy/paste your PIN CODE and CLAIM number from the XROST site (see step 11 above)

I'm having a frustrating time with Allofmp3. A couple of weeks ago my access to add to my balance was stopped. Message - "please contact technical support". I got very unhelpful answers to my queries. Then, I got a reply - "we have recieved chargeback on your account from xrost. Please contact with support xrost". Several attempts to communicate with Allofmp3 support resulted in the same message being repeated. Then - $45.00 removed from my balance (my last 3 iCard purchases in November 2006), putting me in the negative!
I have tried communicating with Allofmp3 again (no help, just telling me go to xrost), Xrost (no reply), Click & Buy (3 times, no reply). Frustrating and upsetting! Even if my account was unfrozen and I could add to my balance I'm wondering if adding to it will be snapped up by Allofmp3 as monies owing. And my credit card has definitely been debited for the xrost iCards I bought via Click & Buy.
Anyone else having problems? Its starting to look as if I won't be able to purchase off Allofmp3 again, for no good reason I can think of. So I feel as if I have been ripped off by $45.00.
A shame that Allofmp3 seem to be unwilling to help get this sorted - especially since I suspect Xrost is very closely linked to them!

There are no problems if you did not charge back the transaction. Normal procedure with suspend account. I had it.They will unblock the account only then when you will settle this problem with xrost.

HI new to allofmp3 here. I cant get in on why there are so many people whinning about such a coolervice. First where else can you get virus free downloads at 17 cents each, second who gives you free listening rights to low quality but full songs, last this site has music I can't find anywhere else so I say put up or shut up, pay and quit whinning or just take your ball and go home Geesh!

What happened to the freemode? I can't get anything new into MusicForTheMasses now.

Looks like the free mode was finally cracked so users could play the .mp3x on any player. My guess is AllofMP3.com got wind of this and shut it down.

Allofmp3 crew just told me free mode was shut down. Probably because of the successive cracking atempts, or the bandwidth consumption.

1. Cannot play any samples on allofmp3.
2. Cannot put any tracks into My Basket and hence nothing in My Downloads.
Can anyone suggest solutions. I have been using the site successfully for 2 years so please don't suggest I'm doing it incorrectly.

I cannot play any samples anymore. Do I miss any new codec on my PC? I tried to play directly from the web and also from downloaded catalogue. All the time I receive an error "unknown file format". Recently I downloaded Xvid codec but I believe it shall not be the reason. Anyone knows what happened?

Sample listening has not worked for several days now. At least let us listen to a 30 second sample like iTunes does. The full preview was better, but if you aren't going to let us do that then how will we know what songs to download? Are you making changes?

How is allofmp3 doing ANY business? I can't use Xrost. Chronopay has a note on its site saying it will only work with mp3 music services that hold only NP FAIR licensing. They discredit ROMS license holders like allofmp3.com.

Now what?? AllofMp3 blows away everybody...especially iTunes. This can't be the end of this great service, can it?
