There's a new payment method for allofmp3.com!

I've found a new payment method for allofmp3 vouchers which uses Paypal.

www.allofmp3vouchers.co.uk is selling gift certificates at quite a small markup.

I bought a $30 and followed the instructions on the site and had $30 credit within 30 minutes of ordering!!

I hope this stays open for a while!

Entry tags: payment 1, xrost 1, alltunes 1, visa 1, allofmp3 1, mastercard 1, vouchers 1

So far, not happy with this site. A friend of mine bought a card, and hasn't recieved it yet. The site says it would take a maximum of 4 hours. Its been 3, so lets see if he actually pays within the next hour.

2. by (Anonymous), 9 March 2007, 08:23

Nope, he didnt pay. Its been about 6 hours. No excuses, this site is a rip off!

3. by (Anonymous), 9 March 2007, 12:38

I was finally emailed and refunded. The guy have a lot of requests at the moment. No hard feelings.

4. by eztlinahua, 11 March 2007, 03:37

Just as a note, I am pretty sure music_mad is affiliated with this site. I will use this site soon (only 4$ left), will wait until Monday (weekends are usually slower for payment).

5. by nos235, 11 March 2007, 06:13

You can get vouchers cheaper on ebay. Search 'phantasmagorium' in ebay stores. Very fast turnaround as well.

6. by eztlinahua, 11 March 2007, 09:43

I checked phantasmagorium and this site. Using Phantasmagorium, you get around 80% of what you pay, and using this site you get around 77%. Iif I had my math right, someone please examine the markups as well.

7. by (Anonymous), 13 March 2007, 00:13

I just purchased a $33 USD certificate via paypal.

Local time is 2:00 PM, Monday, 3/12/07.

However, I assume he is in the UK since I paid in pounds, so its now 2116 GMT.

Ill let everyone know how it works out.

8. by Blondie Bootworzle, 13 March 2007, 12:47

Seeing as the original post was March 8th and the domain was only registered on March 8th, the poster and site owner are no doubt the same person; but why not? Well done for being enterprising!

9. by tony, 13 March 2007, 17:07

I had to wait 14 hours for a reply with the codes, and it works!!thanks Aaron.

10. by David, 14 March 2007, 06:36

Well, I am the guy in comment 7 that paid 13 March at 2100 GMT. Its now over 24 hours later and I have not heard anything yet.

His website has the following message:

**DUE TO ISSUES WITH PAYMENT, WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO OFFER ANY VOUCHERS FOR SALE. PLEASE CHECK BACK REGULARLY AS WE ARE WORKING ON AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF PAYMENT.**

I already sent him money. I am not a happy camper. I sent him an email asking if I was going to get a refund or get a voucher.

I would rather have the voucher, but am not going to wait forever.

если бы вы нормально
относились к клиентам которые платят вам деньги
а также поменьше им хамили
тогда возможно у вас не было бы проблем

12. by David, 15 March 2007, 00:36

I got my voucher. Woohoo! It worked.

Had to go to his site and view a PDF with instructions, but it was pretty simple. Looks like allofmp3vouchers is not selling any more at the moment.

13. by Lowrider 1200, 15 March 2007, 05:47

The uk voucher site is not running today.!!

14. by nos235, 15 March 2007, 12:03

http://stores.ebay.com.au/Phantasmagorium

be quick they're going fast

15. by kevmbpro, 16 March 2007, 07:16

This is friggin' retarded. Soon allofmp3 will be out of business as they we pretty much can't use it. Pathetic that they can't find a way around this...

16. by Blondie Bootworzle, 16 March 2007, 13:45

"Pathetic that they can't find a way around this"

LOL, not really - can you? These blogs will be read by a mixture of people supporting AOMP3 and those who for whatever reason feel that it's their mission in life to try and shut it down, perhaps as it gives them a sense of satisfaction that they cannot get elsewhere in their lives. Payment providers will err on the side of caution and the path of least potential agro, and once alerted to the fact that they are helping take payment to support the site, they will close their doors and walk away.

Even if you had to purchase Russian dolls from some obscure site to fund credits, unless members who had already purchased were notified secretly then this would become known and the route would be shutdown. In fact, it would become known even if was a "secret".

Finding a solution that's good for more than a few days isn't going to be trivial.

Blondie

ALLOFMP3VOUCHERS.CO.UK IS BACK!!

19. by Aydrin, 19 March 2007, 16:50

The music industry should just let it go. People will keep finding ways of sharing music no matter how many times they are shut down. Eventually we will be forced to setup an undergroud railroad to smuggle music to one another. The people using sites like allofmp3 should be awarded for actually paying money for these files. There are plenty of ways to distribute the music freely and illeagaly. Everytime one site is shutdown a new one will rise in it's place. We are in a neverending game of cat and mouse.

Kill the cat.

20. by John Liken, 19 March 2007, 22:20

I've been using this service recently to top-up my allofmp3 balance =

http://www.aom3.org

it has never failed me and the admin is really honest. You should check out his blog. Its a good difference.

21. by Kam, 22 March 2007, 13:01

A few are appearing on ebay now. Not a terrible rate...still cheap in the long run!

22. by EdC, 23 March 2007, 23:23

I have been cought out with ALLOFMP3VOUCHERS.CO.UK. Paid with PAYPAL on March 12th, no codes yet. Site says cannot do anything more and requested refund..not arrived. PAYPAL says site has not requested refund. Filed dispute with PAYPAL. Status-no money or codes! The good news is I think PAYPAL can unilaterally refund me eventually from FROZEN ASSETS!

23. by EdC, 25 March 2007, 05:03

I have now been refunded. Thanks PAYPAL and ALLOFMP3VOUCHERS.CO.UK!

24. by matzmann, 5 April 2007, 12:12

This has worked perfectly for me.
Practically no additional cost and after 4 days including the weekend, my account has been topped up.

Thanks! Great!

25. by kelly85041, 21 April 2007, 04:34

What's going on with this site? Is it getting shut down?

26. by Alex, 25 April 2007, 16:52

Thank You

27. by k, 3 May 2007, 04:44

ok I'm sorry but I am confused! Is there any SAFE way to add money with a credic card? or do I just have to wait for them to fix what ever is wrong?

28. by ziG, 4 May 2007, 14:42

all i want is" scenes from the second story" by The God Machine. This is so anoying. The vouchers site has already ripped me off (£12 only luckily), C'mon boys sort it out.

29. by grock, 4 May 2007, 23:10

Transfered £12 to www.allofmp3vouchers.co.uk on the 2nd via my bank. 2 Days later, no contact from the site/emails... Looking dodgy.

30. by (Anonymous), 5 May 2007, 10:52

same here... and their site is gone too-cos i had it bookmarked and its saying no server found!!!!!

31. by (Anonymous), 5 May 2007, 10:53

what can we do???

32. by (Anonymous), 6 May 2007, 03:29

it's up now....the early "success" stories were people who paid via paypal and got immediate responses. since paypal has quit working with them, you have to send a check or money order, and that's going to take a little more time no matter what you do.

33. by (Anonymous), 6 May 2007, 11:49

I also seem to have been ripped off by Mr Down: does anyone have the address in London E3 he gave (I didn't make a note of it)? -- I live near there and could at least alert the council's trading standards office.

34. by (Anonymous), 7 May 2007, 18:34

His address anyone??

35. by Gus14, 8 May 2007, 12:42

I sent £12 via Lloyds bank transfer on the 29th April to allofmp3vouchers.co.uk and the elusive Mr A J Down, and as yet have had no credit, voucher or email. I too would like his address if anyone thought about copying it, not something you do when it's a "trusted" site.

36. by (Anonymous), 8 May 2007, 12:47

I've also sent money (£17), a week ago now and haven't heard anything yet. Smells like a rip off!

37. by SARAMAUN, 9 May 2007, 03:25

RIP ALLOFMP3 ?.......FREUDIAN SLIP LOL. Rest In Peace(R.I.P.) not here (anymore)it looks like.

38. by Please give me my credit!, 11 May 2007, 02:09

I've been ripped to, after someone else I know had a successful transaction

Through the wonders of google, if you do a search for
payment site:allofmp3vouchers.co.uk

and highlight the cached page, you should be able to get the address....

39. by (Anonymous), 11 May 2007, 02:12

Oh, and its the 'How to buy' page you want....

for some reason, I feel slightly loathed to post the address....

Odd that, considering...

40. by (Anonymous), 12 May 2007, 01:48

Well I don't. However, I cannot get it through Google, I just get a mainly blank page. Once I have it, he will be getting all the worlds unsolicited crap mail through his maibox (hopefully from a lot of people) for a long time. Though I suspect he has already moved.

41. by (Anonymous), 12 May 2007, 20:33

Can someone mail me his address at rippedoffmp3@canada.com.

I'll do the rest.

42. by woodni01, 15 May 2007, 10:51

I sent £12 cash to allofmp3vouchers and my account was credited straight away. I then bought 5 albums, however I have checked my account today and found that my balance is MINUS $9.00. It appears that Mr Down has ripped of Allofmp3 as well.

43. by bodyarc, 16 May 2007, 19:03

Yup me too, did the same a few weeks back via postal order. My account was credited with about $30 i used about $4 worth then went away for a couple of weeks. Just checked my balance and its showing $-3.71. I'm just glad i didn't give him any more. His address is in on trading estate in East London but i'd bet he's not there any more.

Bummer !!!!!!!!!!!

" 9. by Sherb, 6 May 2007, 17:33

I want to drive a Mercedes for $1.99...why don't we just stop paying the people who make them and we could all drive hot cars!

Geez, you sound like the type of people who go to a strip club, watch the show but won't tip the strippers, then complaing they're thieves because they want to be paid for being naked!

Frankly, artists have the right to charge whatever they want. If you don't want to pay it, listen to other musicians! Or drive a different car...or don't go to strip clubs."

.....i dont know where to begin with this you IGNORAMUS! this is not like driving a mercedes for 1.99. (a mercedes is a car, it takes me places, it has value and therefore is WORTH a price). as for your strip club remark, your analogy only fits if allofmp3 were giving us boltcutters to crash the gates at concert venues.

if you wanna use the strip club analogy, this is like going to a 25¢ peep show and not being expected to have the bouncer steal another dollar for each clip you watch and then claiming he's giving that money to the girl in the video you just watched.

it's not about the artists. true "artists" go on tour give concerts and create experiences of value that earn them quite a bit of money. read the rolling stone list of top grossing concert tours, and you'll see there's plenty of money being thrown to worthy "artists." the majority of these songs are so over-produced/sampled/edited/marketed that they lose any 'artistic' value and become promotions for the record company itself, so it can go out and 'kidnap' the next generation of music. F-that.

if artists think theyre losing out, maybe they should make something worth seeing live. an actual performance. studio tracks are not art they are mass produced, mass marketed teases of what a performer is capable of. and for that type of commodity i will pay a nickel. there's not any value to these things. concerts have value, live performance has value and all art is not equal.

the simple fact that buying the "art" of william hung costs the same as buying the "art" of eric clapton, for example, shows just how twisted the whole industry and it's pricing scheme is.

what these people have done, is correctly identified these studio produced tracks as commodities and priced them accordingly. these tracks are nothing more than data, longer songs cost more, shorter ones cost less. makes sense doesn't it? if "performers" or "artists" want to make money, real money, then they should have to, GASP, perform—actually give a concert. provide something of value—an experience, an event, something that gives their musical ability value to me beyond serving as background noise in my daily life.

funny how America calls organizations like OPEC a "cartel" but allows the RIAA to get away with making millions by exploiting musicians and strong arm robbery of the general public.

THAT IS ALL

45. by (Anonymous), 18 May 2007, 01:38

get over yourself. All i want to do is buy some music when i want, itunes sucks becaues all they have is crappy american music. If anyone knows a good site that i can get world rock music tell me

46. by Hirs Ute, 18 May 2007, 15:52

AllOfMP3 Vouchers.co.uk
Well that's my bubble burst. I transferred $200 to my account from All of MP3 Vouchers UK at the back end of April and went to download some music today, but my balance is nil. It appears (AOMP3Vouchers) has pulled the cash out of my account. Now I'm trying to get a reply from them.

47. by (Anonymous), 19 May 2007, 18:04

i now have a negative balance as my last payment from the vouchers .co.uk people has been removed

48. by (Anonymous), 30 May 2007, 20:00

Songboom doesnt sell gift certificates anymore... What the heck is going on???

49. by easy as pie, 3 June 2007, 05:22

I figured out how to add more to my balance. it was very easy to do. So easy, that I'm kind of embarrassed. i'm almost afraid to share the info. You just really need to read the screens closely and make the necessary adjustments. For me, it was a security setting.
go to internet options, go to advanced tab, make sure security settings are checked to allow for ssl and tls.
i checked the tls and that was all it took.

50. by solofara, 3 June 2007, 07:47

What's happening is exactly what the RIAA WANTS to happen. You cannot give Allofmp3 any money, so you cannot buy anything from them. After a while Allofmp3 will be gone, and the RIAA will have won. They couldn't force Allofmp3 to shut down legally, so they intimidated all the US money transaction companies (Visa, M/C, Paypal) into severing relations with Allofmp3.

It's greed - plain and simple.

51. by Gaz, 18 June 2007, 22:25

Allofmp3 should take the ultimate sanction and give everyone who are existing members $20 of free downloads as a trial .... no way could that be blocked!

Then we would see how the big boys react to that?

52. by Hirs Ute, 13 October 2007, 01:10

I can't wait for AllofMP3 to come back on line
