6 August 2007, 02:34 Eminem sues Apple for copyright infringementMusic publishing companies representing Eminem filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Apple on grounds of copyright infringement. Allegedly the iTunes store have been offering Eminem’s songs for download without his permission, only having the consent of the EMI record label. According to the singer’s lawyers, the record label doesn’t hold the right to allow downloads exclusively (as it is with selling the artist’s CDs). Also the singer wants a fairer division of the revenue from downloads. At the moment iTunes charges around 99 cents a song, 70 cents go to the record label. It, in turn, typically, pays 9,1 cents to the music publisher. |

OMG! What the hell? What Eminem can't afford a gold hummer? Excuse me while I grab a tissue and cry. Maybe Em should consider selling DRM-free music for $1.29 if he needs more money. I seriously doubt that iTunes will have a problem with removing his music all together. Then he won't even get his undesirable 9.1 cents. Now excuse me, I have to go take Ems's songs out of my iTunes shopping cart.

um what???? he was in an iPod commercial that advertised that he had music in the iTunes store and he is saying he didnt give them the right to sell his music, or did they just film him rapping in front of a green screen without his permission? lol

Eminem is a has been one time shot. He's got nothing new worth listening to anyways so why should it matter to anyone anyways? The SOB only cries about his pitiful life anyways and who gives a rip? The crap in the US is pitiful. Thanks to Allofmp3.com I've found Busted, Tokio Hotel, and tons of other great European groups. The crap coming from America sucks royally. I'm an American and glad Allofmp3 has opened my eyes to great music from Europe. European music rocks while US crap SUCKS SHIT!

what do u mean Itunes will not have a problem taking off Eminem's music ?? maybe you don't like him, but people do, and they download his music/ Even if maybe he's not selling much now because he hasn't released anything new, what when he drops an album, wouldn't itunes want the sales ?
And anyway, it's never good to be in conflict with an artist as big as Eminem.

Damn rite apple are so overpriced and people like me have no where to go for music. I'm happy Eminem is suing them, even if they haven't infringed copyright laws. And by the way..... 'your boy' you are so correct- Eminem is the best lyricist of all time. I reckon Eminem is great, and I respect him more than all u racist, jealous people that bag him.
